To really get started using the benefits of Assetlogue you will need to understand how to add an asset (and then share them). This article shows you how to create an asset.
Start by clicking on the + button in the bottom right hand corner of the 'Assets' page.
Enter Asset profile details.
(Tip: a 'Draft' Asset only requires minimal fields to create an asset. This is handy when you have only limited information on an asset eg. Asset ID & Location Details only).
Enter Address either automagically or manually if you don't find a match. If you are able to find a match in the Latitude and Longitude fields will load automatically also. Alternatively you can enter the GPS coordinates yourself.
Once you have GPS coordinates entered your map will load. If you want to reposition the pin just place your cursor over it, click on the pin and move it to the exact location you wish.
Continue completing as many fields as you can within each of the tabs. Don't stress you can always come back to the asset and add/edit fields as you go along.
*Tip: In order to save an asset as 'Active' you will need to ensure that certain required fields are completed. These can be identified with a red asterix (eg. *) within the field. These fields will enable other maintenance reports, eg. Cleaning & Inspection, to be assigned and actioned by users. These kind of maintenance activities cannot be performed while an asset is in 'Draft' status.
When your done click the save button either in the top or bottom right hand corners and that's it! You have created an asset. Good Job!
